The hydraulic actuator is connected to the hydraulic pump via a high-pressure hose. The hose is connected to the pump via a leak-free quick release coupling. The coupling can only be connected to the equipment when it is depressurised.

The hydraulic actuator is equipped with a control val- ve that activates pump operation. The operating lever is equipped with a safety catch to prevent unintended operation.

If the valve is activated, the pump begins to run and the hydraulic plunger extends.

If the operating lever is released, the pump is deactivated and the hydraulic plunger retracts to its original position.
